buying This is a pair of earrings made from old Indian silver discs.
The 2 plain discs were made and worn by the tribal gypsy people of Rajasthan in Northern India. They are 50 - 150 years old, and are made of extremely pure fine silver (98%).
I have made them into earrings using fine silver hoops, and sterling silver ear hooks.
Please note that the pendants were all made by hand, so each is unique and each will have worn differently over time. So the pair you receive will not be exactly the same as the pair in the photos, but it will be be very similar.
The discs are 2 cm across. They are 4 cm long from the top of the hooks.
I am the designer of these earrings and I have put them together with my own hands. I have been making my living exclusively from designing and making jewellery for 9 years. I travel every year to seek out old and tribal silver from Asia and India along with semi-precious stones. Back at home in Brighton, England, I make these loose pieces up into beautiful and unusal jewellery.
Every item will be send beautifully packaged in a cotton gift bag made especially for me by a women's self help group in India.
