From Shelburne Falls, MA, Homestone Jewelry & Designs combines stone from the NORTHEAST US, and a variety of metals, to create unique, hand-crafted jewelry. Homestone, hand-dug, hand-grinded, hand-polished the majority of the work you see here. Homestone is dedicated to bring you the best of the beauty of our geological landscape and wilderness of our region. I hope that the wearer of this jewelry feels connected to the places they call their home, hence the namesake “Homestone”. Right below our feet in CT, ME, MA, RI, NY, NH, and VT there is so much to discover!. Digging to find and wear earth's wonders puts you into the hallways of time, bringing light to the unknown and undiscovered parts of our world and probably in ourselves. Homestone's intention is to honor the underlying beauty amongst the mundanity and the sacrament of nature's treasures.

JEWELRY CARE
General Care
Many of the designs from Homestone Jewelry and Designs are meant to be worn without much fuss.  Care and attention has gone into creating jewelry with integrity that can be worn regularly.  However, simple maintenance and care is vital to ensuring you can enjoy your jewelry over time.  Occasionally clean or polish your jewelry (more info on that below), protect your pieces when they are not being worn, handle your jewelry gently, and do not use force when putting your jewelry on or taking it off.

Brass & Sterling Silver
Both brass and sterling silver naturally tarnish over time and with exposure to the elements and human touch. Tarnishing creates a patina on these metals that many people appreciate. In order to preserve the original finish of your piece for as long buying as possible remove jewelry before showering or swimming and avoid storing your jewelry in a place with high humidity. Remember that your jewelry should not come into contact with water and putting it on after using perfumes, hairspray, makeup, etc ...
