Angelo Asti (Paris 1847-Matua 1903)
A. Asti (Angelo Asti) was a French artist. His pictorial portraits of beautiful ladies become a reference for late 19th-century publicity. The “Asti girls” had long air, rosy skin, and a wide neckline.
About 1877 Asti worked as a lithographer in Cincinnati (Ohio) and returned to Paris in 1890. He was a very successful artist: taking the Louvre portraits as a reference, he developed his own style getting the recognition of Salon de Paris.
