Stoneware is named for the hard-as-stone quality the clay takes on after being fired at very high temps. Pots made from this clay are dishwasher safe and suitable for microwave cooking. The glazes that we use contain no lead. Stoneware pots are made to be used for baking and serving but must never be placed over an open flame or an electric burner. With reasonable care, your stoneware pot will provide years of enjoyment!
