a handprinted etching; I ink up the copperplate for each print pulled, this means that each print will have small differences to the next. I hope you treasure this as a sign of individuality and part of what makes an original print an original. I use first class papers and ink to give my work the best possible longevity. This is an aquatint etching, which means I have added a process involving rosin, that adds wonderful deep tones to the copperplate, that later comes out in the printing process.
I have printed my blue Poetree in a short edition of 40 prints.
Each print is numbered, titled and signed by me.
The etching is printed on a piece of warm white heavy printmaking paper, perfect for the image,
the paper measures 12 x 8" (30 x 20 cm )
and the actual images measures as in each portrait is 5" x 6.5" (12cm x 16cm)
I'll mail your etching safely, I have long experience of mailing art all over the world, it comes well wrapped in tissuepaper and a plastic sleeve, with a flier explaining what an buying etching is. If you want it gift wrapped just let me know.
