Here is a sweet Haviland Limoges serving bowl with beautiful scallop edging, gold gilding, golden wheat sheaves and garlands, beautiful hand painted soft pink roses and green leaves – just look at those close-up shots of the artistry – It's Haviland quality at its best.
This antique is backmarked with the "Haviland France" in green and "Haviland & Co" in red - c. 1894-1931.
This treasure measures 10” / 25 cm x 7.75" / 19.5 cm rim to rim and is 2 3/8" / 6 cm tall.
Amazingly in spite of its century of use it is in excellent antique condition, with minor wear commensurate its age, free of cracks, chips and repairs. Please view the accompanying photographs to complete the description of its beauty and condition.
In all my research I could not find the name of the pattern. When I typed the question into a Google search, “How many patterns has Haviland Limoges created?” the answer was, “It is estimated that Haviland has produced more than 60,000 patterns.” No wonder identifying patterns is such a challenge. Yet…maybe it's a blessing…if you have various patterns on various blanks but with the ever popular pink rose, you can very successfully use them together at your feast – and if you ask me, I think it adds to the flavor of the meal to bring together such a variety of “nearly the same” china and enjoy finding the unique differences.
This pattern goes well with many of the other Haviland china pieces offered in my shop, Take a gander at Granny's Goodie Jar in the "Haviland Pink Roses" section for additional china pieces with this same pattern and/or “nearly the same” as this (making buying for a fun & unique mix and match collection): including covered serving dishes, plates, bowls, teacups, serving platters, serving bowls, gravy boats and more!
This, and all treasures in Granny's Goodie Jar, include free domestic shipping, optional gift wrapping and a 5% discount on all multiple purchases in a single order from my shop...message me and I'll make it happen.
Cheers!
