Inspired by Supernatural, this fanart cup is made by hand by a professional potter. Made of high-fire stoneware clay, I threw this mug on my pottery wheel, then waited for it to dry some so I could trim and refine the form. After pulling the handle and attaching it, I carved the anti-possession symbol and carved the letters into the cup and then began the process of painting the cup with three layers of blue celadon glaze into the stamped letters and carved symbol. Whew! It's a lot of work!
After it dried completely, it went into the kiln at around 1850° F. After cooling, I glazed it with high fire clear glaze and fired it again at around 2232° F.
