This Irish penny ring made from a copper coin made in the UK.
This Irish penny ring made from a copper coin made in the UK, shipping worldwide. Irish coinage from the early 1900s where decorated in iconic Irish imagery and this old copper penny is no different showing the iconic Irish harp, the date and "Éire".
The ring is adorned externally with the Irish harp, with even small details such as the flowers and patterns on the harp being retained. This particular example shows the word Éire and the date 1968, though this is a custom item and dates up to 1968 can be requested.
The ring shown is shown here with an antiqued finish on the outside to bring out the details and a highly polished sterling silver liner fitted. Please note, this ring is available WITHOUT a sterling silver liner, but the pictured ring is one WITH a sterling silver liner - make sure you select the correct option at the checkout. This buying is a custom order and made to fit, so can be crafted to the perfect size for you.
Will this ring turn your finger green like normal copper rings? Well, the liner prevents the part of the ring in constant contact with your skin from leaving an unsightly green mark. However, the outside of the ring will still be in contact with your other fingers and other parts of your ring finger so it is important to remember that it could mark your skin. All marks can be washed off as with all copper rings.
Do you like the finish but would prefer a different coin? Details removed? An alternative finish? Drop us a message and we will do our best to craft the perfect ring for you!
