Product code: Miniature Southwest Pottery buying - 10 Pieces

This is a collection of miniature Southwest-style pottery. Ten pieces. Vintage to the 1990's.

My Aunt Peggy and Uncle Bud were travelers, collectors and art fanciers. They wintered in southern Arizona where they had a small bungalow. It was chock-o-block full of southwestern collectibles; this set being just one of their assemblages.

“You can't see the forest for the trees” was an apt saying for their home. Shelves, curios, even windowsills were all neatly and carefully arranged with treasures. Each one with a history and an interesting story.

This set was in a little cabinet behind glass doors. (My Aunt must have really loved them!)

It consists of 10 pieces; each done in a beautiful hand-painted geometric pattern. My favorite was always been the wee pitcher with an alligator head that would serve as the spout.

The colors are burnt red, yellow, black and brown. But, surprisingly, a couple of pieces have blues and greens. So unexpected, but fun!

The tallest pieces are 2” tall. The smallest are 1” tall. The little plate measures 1.75” across. (In the center is drawn a man playing a flute!)

The detail is exquisite! The brush strokes are so fine. Each one will be studied and appreciated!

They are in very nice vintage condition. I have taken a pic of two pieces that buying have small nicks. See last photo.

The other pieces are in great condition. Perhaps a few scrapes and scuffs.

I hope you have a pocket-sized spot in which to display these! My Aunt would be so pleased to know that this set is once again, treasured!
