Here are four very old souvenir spoons -- and a fork!
These are all approx. 4-3/4 inches long.
They are estate finds from a collector who lived in Germany for a number of years.
(First) a spoon with an enameled handle and bowl -- The bowl shows the Barengraben (which means bear pit) of Bern, Switzerland. The handle is missing a bit of enamel. Marked: 800 KFK
(Second) handle enameled with flower, bowl etched with "Koln a Rh" i.e. Colonge on the Rhine. I can't read the mark
(Third) This buying spoon has an enameled bowl with a depiction of a cathedral, and handle has a crest with the word: "Wien" (Vienna) Marked: 800 and some symbols I can't make out
(Fourth) The bowl of this spoon shows an enameled representation of Nurnberg castle. There is an amazing, but broken figural handle. The end is a miniature representation of an Iron Maiden, or as this version was called, the "Nurnberg Virgin". But on this spoon, one of the doors has broken off, but the remaining door still opens and closes. It is marked, "800" with a couple symbols I can't decipher.
(Lastly) The souvenir fork! It is a two-tine fork with the lion and stag Coat of Arms of Württemberg. The mark -- shown in image #7, is a crown, 800, and the letters RE.
