I love this tree trunk or stump planter. A natural organic shape glazed in shades of brown. There is a large opening at the top for easy planting. It's a beautiful piece in original condition. Marked Brush USA on the bottom. There is one chip on the bottom edge, see photos.
"George Brush founded the first Brush Pottery Company around 1906. When buying a fire destroyed the factory two years later, Brush retained his company's assets but went to work for J.W. McCoy Pottery Co, another Roseville, Ohio, pottery. Brush became General Manager. By 1911, the firm was known as Brush-McCoy Pottery. In 1925, the “McCoy” name was dropped and the pottery became known as Brush Pottery. Production continued through the middle of 1982."
Measures 4 1/2" tall, approx. 5" in diameter at the top and the bottom is 8 3/4" x 6 1/2"
