Inspired by Japanese elements such as misty mountains and cherry blossoms I wanted this picture to exhibit an air of mystery and yet calm. Hence the addition of the magical mermaid in the background, for which my intention was not to be the primary focus, seen only when you get close to the picture, because like anything, you get a different perspective when you look at it from a different angle, paralleling much of our interpretation of life in general.

I created this picture over a couple of months, in tandem with other projects. It's created on a stretched canvas with acrylic paint. I used different techniques and brushes to create the background and mountains compared to the flowers. This picture was fully formed in my mind when I started it, as opposed to others I create as I feel.

This buying picture is unframed approx 30 cms /11.81 inches (height) by 40 cms/15.75 inches (wide) by 1.5 cms/0.6 inches (thickness). It can be hung as is, or framed if you so desire.
