Here is a Vintage 1950's Matching Pair of a Winking Lady Tea Cup and a Winking Man Tea Cup part of the Lipton Tea Company Promotional Tea Cup offer, Made In Staffordshire England. These two vintage Winkingn Tea cups would have been part of a promotional offer run by the Lipton Tea Company in Canada sometimes in the 1950's. The Lipton Tea Company was famous for using various tools for promoting their particular brand of Tea. One example are the highly collectible little ceramic figurines that would come in each box of Tea. The promotion for these Winking Tea cups would have been a mail in promotion where proof of purchase would have been submitted for each to the Lipton Tea Company and then they would then send Winking Tea Cup.

In this listing is a matching pair of Vintage Lipton Tea Winking Tea Cups, one Man Winking Tea Cup and the other a Woman Winking Tea Cup. If you look closely at this pair of Winking Tea Cups side by side you will notice that each Winking Tea Cup winks with the opposite eye. Each Winking Tea Cup would have been designed to represent the man and women of the day with the woman with the necklace and hair ribbon and the man with his button down collar shirt. They also would have been hand painted at the pottery in Staffordshire England.

These particular Vintage Lipton Tea Company Winking Tea Cups are in Excellent condition with no chips cracks slight crazing on either piece and the colour is good threw out on both.
