Bright, canary yellow coloured kangaroo leather hide. Chrome tanned. Flexible hide.

Note - there is some dye transference on this hide, mainly around the edges and on the raised scars, it has a greenish hue. The price is low to reflect this.

This is a great looking hide with a light grain pattern. It's an unusually large hide for roo leather.

The colour is a bright canary yellow, the colour can be seen clearest in the first two photographs. If you have any questions about the colour, contact us and we'll provide some more photos.

Kangaroo hide is 10x the tensile strength of cowhide, which means it is stronger, whilst being much thinner and more flexible. Kangaroo leather is commonly used in premium football boots and motorcycle gear, due to these properties. buying It also makes it ideal for footwear, garments and handbags.

Due to the thin and supple nature of the hide, it is easily sewn by most domestic sewing machines.

Please note, kangaroo hides can only be obtained from Australia and they are not farmed, therefore the hides may have some scarring which we try to indicate in the photographs. Please refer to the measurements, kangaroo hides are far smaller than cow hides! These make them ideal for bespoke leather goods and hobbyists and they're much easier to store!
