DORSET - by John Speed 1610
This map is a reproduction of a map first published by John Speed in 1610. THese maps were originally printed in black and white and proud owners had them hand coloured rendering each copy unique. This reproduction is a particularly fine example.
The map is reproduced with all the stains and markings it has acquired over the past 400 years. The reverse of the map is blank, unlike the original which would have carried John Speed's description of the county.
The size of the print is 24" x 20" including a printed border. The size of the map is 20" x 16".
FRAMING
The map is available framed and unframed. There are 4 different framing options:
1. Gold Traditional - A 1.5" wide scoop faced moulding with a satin gold finish.
2. Gold Contemporary - A 2" wide, smooth, flat wood venier moulding, with soft grain effect. The frame is finished in buying gold and the gold inlay is aged with hints of brown.
3. Black/Gold Traditional - A 2" wide pure black tapered frame inlaid with foiled gold
4. Black/Gold contemporary - A wide, smooth, flat wood venier moulding, with soft grain effect. The frame is finished in black with a gold inlay.
Other frames are available. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
