About Moegle
Willi Moegle (1897 – 1989) is known as one of the founding fathers of product photography. He studied applied arts in Stuttgart and after the Second World War he mainly worked for companies such as Bauknecht, Arzberg, Schönwald, Zwiesel, Jenaer Glas and C.H.Pott. His trademark was an unspectacular, but perfectly staged photograph. Willi Moegle favored the design of the so called “Guten Form” with artists like Heinrich Löffelhardt and Wilhelm Wagenfeld. In 1978 Willi Moegle was awarded the David-Octavius-Hill-medal and in mid of 2006 Berlin State Library showed an exhibition with Willi Moegle´s famous photographies.
