Graphic Hummingbird Watercolour Painting - Red, Pink buying and Purple

An original watercolour painting of a hummingbird using shades of red, pink and purple. The details and outline of the bird are lined with ink to give the bird a more illustrative look. I chose to simplify the tail and wing feathers to give the image a more graphic style and to focus the attention the bright colours.

The painting is buying on a piece of watercolour paper (300gsm) (15cm x 10cm, approx. 6in x 4in, equivalent to A5) and was made using Windsor and Newton watercolour paints. Please note that this comes unframed. The image may still be water-soluble so please take care to avoid getting it wet.

Hummingbirds have always inspired me. This bright image captures the brilliant colours of the bird and provides interesting contrasts.

Please note the frame is not included.
