An incredibly fabulous Edwardian or Victorian glass and brass or gilded metal small vanity jar. I adore the rich amethyst color stone in the center of a decorative filigree lid that fits onto a pressed glass base. There are a couple of slightly (very slight and barely noticeable) rough edges on the rim of the glass they are small and probably from normal use. There isn't a hallmark but I am very certain that it was made by E & J Bass with a Czech amethyst crystal in the center of the lid. They lady that I bought these from was a major collector of E & JB art gold.
