This rare edition is bound in an overlapping limp green leather on soft boards. Border stamp detail and gilt tooling to spine, gilt stamp with the author's signature on front board. Dark end papers, no inscriptions. Full gilt edges and original ribbon marker
Pages are bright and clear, with only a little foxing on the pale side of the end papers and title page. Black and white illustrations on frontispiece and title pages
Some light bumping to top corner along fore edge of pages and crinkling in places. Sunning to leather along edges of boards and along spine. Some rubbing to spine, bumping and light chipping to top/tail edges. Marking to back board. Strong binding, overall in good vintage/antique condition
