Hector Powe was (and still is) a prestigious, family-owned, men's tailoring company based in Regent Street, London - offering quality, bespoke, tailor-made clothing. .
This promotional book/catalogue (with price list at the back) outlines the types of clothing/services offered by the company.
Features clothing for a wide variety of social occasions and activities - including suits/overcoats, evening dress and golf wear.
Also includes a short section on the tailoring service offered to women buying ('The Ladies Tailoring Salon'), details re. the textiles used, general style advice for men - as well as a small postcard that could be mailed back to the company to request fabric samples and/or a visit from a Travelling Tailor.
A scarce and highly collectible publication.

In reasonably good condition overall but with several flaws. The staples have rusted and the pages are all loose as a result. There is also rust staining where the staples were situated. Wear and tear to cover - scuffs and creases, extensive foxing, wear/denting to corners, and some grubbiness/age discolouration. General age discolouration/tanning throughout. Some creasing to corners. The loose postcard has a small tear to one corner. But otherwise good. Internal pages are good on the whole with no major flaws - no stains (apart from afore-mentioned rust staining), tears or annotations. Minimal creasing. Please see photos for more information. I have photographed the main flaws. Please note that it has proved difficult to reproduce the colours totally accurately in the photos.
