Statement Bauhaus Art Earrings - Handmade Wooden Jewellery - Unique Eco Friendly Jewellery buying - Unusual Hand Painted Earrings

Hand cut, shaped and polished, then individually hand painted on vintage wood, these asymmetrical statement earrings are little pieces of wearable art. The geometric design in pale pink and bright red, was inspired by the colours on my favourite vintage kimono, the colours inspire me every time I look at it. The design is inspired by Bauhaus aesthetics, a delicate balance of shapes and colours led by the shapes of the wood.

DETAILS -
-The earrings have hypo-allergenic surgical steel posts, with super comfortable silicone push backs.
-Each earring measures approximately 17mm wide and 65mm long.
-The earrings come in a recycled and fully recyclable envelope, box and Tissue paper.

It's easy to feel good about wearing jewellery made from recycled wood. Smaller pieces of this amazing material are so often discarded. All of the beautiful woods in my workshop were rescued from waste of one kind or another, many from my past life as a furniture maker.

Cutting and shaping each piece of wood by hand brings a special quality to the shape and feel of these earrings, and allows me to produce very little waste in the making process.

After carefully painting each design on myself, I use a vegan, plant based wax polish to bring out the beauty of the wood grain.

This beautiful pale Maple wood was bought from Cambridge Corn Exchange when they refurbished the buying building. It is a beautiful pale, smooth wood, which makes the perfect canvas for a bit of wearable art.

Wood by its very nature has infinite variations in grain and tone, making each and every pair of earrings completely unique. Add hand painted detail and there you go, jewellery as individual as the person wearing it.

All my jewellery is made to a high standard, and will happily deal with a drop of rain, but please don't wear it in the shower - wood and water are not the best of friends! Also do your best to keep it away from perfumes and cosmetics.
