Product code: Antique Art Nouveau buying Edwardian 10k Gold Top Bean Back Vintage Cufflinks (No. 1298)
Classic Edwardian era Art Nouveau cuff links are made of a rimmed oval face of 10k yellow gold edged in a repoussé swirl and fine beaded edges. In the center is a clear glass stone set buying deeply in a diamond shaped setting. The face of the cuff link is small, typical of Edwardian jewelry, measuring ¾ inch long and is marked with the letter “G” on the back. The rigid bar and bean back are not made of gold but of a gilded base metal. The bean back setting was used between 1890 through about 1910 and are still a comfortable shape to fit through a french cuff. The entire top of the cuff link tests positive for 10k gold. They are in excellent condition.
