TITLE : GREAT AUK • EXTINCT BIRD EGG

DESCRIPTION : antique chromolithographed print from Coloured Figures of the Eggs of British Birds by Henry Seebohm. These prints contain some of the finest groupings of bird's eggs found in natural history illustration, all in intricate detail.

Henry Seebohm was born in Bradford, Yorkshire in 1832. He began his studies of biology in the botanical realm, making a collection of British Ferns. However, his true passion was ornithology, and after much success in steel manufacturing he was soon traveling abroad, studying various bird species & collecting their eggs.

CONDITION : these are original antique prints - as such there may be varying signs of aging... so please look at the photos carefully - the first photo shows the entire print - convo me for additional photos

VINTAGE - over 50 years old

DOCUMENT of AUTHENTICITY : a copy of the title page with date, publisher and printer's information will be included with the prints

SHIPPING : prints arrive in a new resealable & recyclable clear polypropylene envelope - please be careful when removing the prints from this envelope as it has a sticky edge!
included is the title page [if available] and a hand written description - shipped in a sturdy kraft mailer with plenty of additional reinforcement - i usually use clean recycled packaging as reinforcement - shipping charges include insurance

RETURNS : returns are accepted - please notify me within 7 days of receipt if you choose to return the prints - you will be refunded 100% on my receipt of the UNDAMAGED prints
