Product code: Large Saucer Bi-cone Beads from Mali, Silver buying Alloy VB_0180 (17x10mm)

These saucer-shaped beads come from West Africa, specifically from Mali. While the exact metal content of these beads is unknown, they are believed to made by melting and reusing old silver coins. Oxidation of these beads over time indicates the presence of silver in the metal. The beads are of a pleasant slightly patinated light silver color, and some are darker, You can choose the color option at checkout.

The beads are hollow and lightweight and are about 17x10mm. There are approximately 50 beads per strand. The stringing hole is about 2mm. These are handmade beads, each being unique on its own, sizes vary from bead to bead plus-minus 2 mm.

These beads are old and some may show wear such as nicks, small seam holes, and other minor imperfections.

Note: several strands are shown in some photos. This listing is for ONE strand
