Product code: Handmade Rosary to St. Rita buying "Pearl of God" in Opalite (Moonstone)

This beautiful rosary is a perfect idea for Christian gifts (first communion, confirmation, baptism, wedding etc.) or as catholic gifts for buying women. It is a handmade rosary made of opalite stone (moonstone) with a medallion to St. Rita from Cascia (Italy) in the rosary center.

The length of the rosary crystal necklace is 17 1/2" (44cm), the diameter of the beads is 3/8" (8 mm). It is a 5-decade rosary (the number of nodules is 50).

The name of St. Rita is translated from Greek as "pearl" or "daughter of light". The holiday, which originates from the town of Cascia near Rome, is well known as the worshiper's patron of unresolved situations.

St. Rita had a difficult life. By the will of her parents, she had to marry a man who treated her cruelly. She had two sons, whom she raised in piety, as far as the life on Rome of that time allowed. After the death of her husband and sons, who died of disease, the widow Rita repeatedly tried to enter the monastery and eventually joined the Order of St. Mary Magdalene.

The rosary is one of the oldest Christian prayer "tools" and symbols. A rope with special knots is knotted on it (one of the oldest forms of the rosary) is used during repeated prayers to count their number. Traditionally, a rosary has 50 or 100 knots divided into dozens with large beads. Thus, during the prayer on it, the ten times repetition of the Jesus or the Virgin Mary prayer is completed by the prayer "Our Father". The rosary, as a sacred object, ends with a cross offering his prayers before God.

Rosaries are a must for every monk, but rosary prayer is also common for laypeople. During the pilgrimage, Christians take rosaries with them and consecrate them by attaching them to shrines (miraculous icons, relics of saints).
