Death, the great equalizer, comes to us all on swift, silent wings of night.

The association of death and the night is something that is fairly common in polite society. It was on my mind a lot, the fear of the dark and what unknow terriers await the unprepared. So what better to show the fear of death in the dark by combing two ominous symbols.

The wings of a bat which is often a symbol of the night buying and fright. The skull used both in modern times and ancient as a warning of death and danger.
