A rare piece, this vintage creamer set, comprising milk jug and sugar bowl, is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. Made in Ireland in Co Clare in the 1960s, the company no longer exists.

The jug measures 3 1/4" / 8 cm in height and the sugar bowl is 2 1/4" / 5.5 cm. Fully marked on base "Made in the Republic of Ireland Irish Fine Earthenware Celtic Ennis".

The pattern is "Ennis", named after the lively and historic market town in Co Clare in the west of Ireland buying. In a stunning caramel and brown / black, it just screams mid century modern. Designed by Jim Kirkwood who designed for Rosenthal among others.

In very clean condition with no crazing, this would be a gorgeous addition to your mid century or contemporary home.
