Ulmo wood balance board is one of the toys suggested for your child's development by Waldorf and Montessori children's education programs. It helps children not only develop physical abilities, balance and coordination, but also stimulates the imagination - it is a slide, a doll's cradle, a train tunnel, a car springboard, a step, a drawing table and ... imagination has no limits.

This size board is suitable not only for children, but for any family member up to old age.

The Ulmo wood balance board may appear a simple item, but the hidden complexity of its manufacturing process is a big part of what makes the product so unique. Each board is crafted using Baltic birch - Baltic Birch plywood is made entirely from birch plies, with no softwood or filler plies in the center. Furthermore, the plies themselves tend to be much thinner, allowing for more plies for a given thickness, and greater stiffness and stability. Although Baltic birch is more expensive to manufacture than less-sustainable alternatives at Ulmo wood we make child's safety our first priority.

The Ulmo wood balance boards are made out of high quality Baltic birch. Since the product is handcrafted from real wood, the size can variate for each item for around 5%. Available also in other colors. Suitable for ages 18 months and older.

▪️All the boards are made out of Baltic birch, but finished with child friendly oak or birch finish (the requirements of the European Toy safety standard buying EN 71-3).

If you are not sure which size to get, we suggest size L (large), as it is the most universal. There is no worry of outgrowing it - the large board is for adults!
