The size of Covered Bowl: 4 5/16" Dia x 3 1/8" High. This is very lovely Japanese Porcelain Ko Imari Covered Bowl from late Edo, 1840-60. It has the design of Grapes and Squirrell design in one window, other one with flower design surrounded by gold Karakus design. Inside has blue underglaze design works. The rim area band design with Kishomon(lucky design). Each cover and bottom bowl has Kanji writing "Fu ki Cho Shun"( wealth, noble, long spring). The condition of covered bowl excellent. No chip, no crack and no hairline. Please note the center of bottom bowl has Kamahi (kiln flaw) which does not go thru the inside bowl. As antique bowl, there is little frits in the bowl expected.
