Montague-Style Twist Pen Available in buying Several Finishes

These beautiful (and hefty!) Montague-style twist pens in are available in several gorgeous finishes. You can choose one of the following:

- Zircote wood with copper hardware,
- Burled Amboyna wood with brass hardware,
- Walnut with brass hardware or,
- Cocobolowood with brass hardware.


The design of each gorgeous pen -- that brings comparisons to the Montagues (and Capulets) of Shakespeare -- is based on Venetian Gothic, a style originating in 14th-century Venice and given to an architectural style combining use of the gothic arch with Byzantine and Moorish architectural influences. The cap features bands of small pointed lancet arches flanking larger, more teardrop-shaped, Moorish influenced arches. The pen tip also features the lancet arches while the pen top includes a quatrefoil window design.

This is a ballpoint pen with a locking refill mechanism that accepts Parker-style ink cartridges. Before final assembly, this pen was sanded using a combination of fine sandpaper and an ultra-shine sanding wax, then treated with three coats of a high-quality friction polish and a final coat of Renaissance wax for a long-lasting and durable finish.

Renaissance wax was developed by the British Museum specifically for the restoration and preservation of precious works of art. It is a semi-synthetic micro-crystalline fossil-origin wax completely buying free of damaging acids. This wax is highly moisture-resistant, forming a lustrous, durable, and protective coating that highlights (rather than obscures) fine detail. The coating also creates a barrier against fingerprints and lifts away oil and dirt.
