Circa 1960
Although the cufflinks are not actually marked I am sure they are original to the Ciro box. Ciro was founded in 1917 as a mail order company, in 1920 they opened their first shop in London, they subsequently opened shops in Paris, New York and Berlin. Sadly, like many of their contemporaries, Ciro struggled through the 70's and 80's and finally went into receivership in 1994. However, the Company was buying bought over by John Shannon and it still has its flag ship emporium in the Burlington Arcade.
These cufflinks are very tactile, they are made of a gold plated metal, which has a lovely matte finish. They have a tubular design with a section cut away. They are very stylish. Measures approx 2.6x1.2cm
