Product code: Silver and Bronze buying Venda Makunda Bubble Bangles (Set of 5)

Our Venda Bubble range is sold in sets of 5 and can be customized to any variation of the silver and bronze within the set of five.

The bangles are very lightweight and can be worn for months without taking them off. The more you wear them and love them, the more they shine. Like a true symbol of love. Showers, swimming and naps all help them to get more polished and shiny. They are super low maintenance and do not tarnish with exposure to perfume, creams or water. They are also so light you will forget you are even wearing them. Please see unworn and after wear images. They all arrive dull and will shine up (as in the images) with wear.

You can also choose from a 65mm wide bangle or a 70mm wide bangle. Suggestion: Always go a fraction smaller to allow for some give on wear.

THE HISTORY OF MAKUNDA VENDA BANGLES

Venda bangles, also known as “Makunda” are a long tradition passed down from the Venda tribe found in South Africa in the Province of Limpopo. Made by Venda men as a sign of love to their wives. Men from different villages would come together and gather materials to hand-make these precious bangles. Women would wear them on their wrists and ankles displaying the affection of their husbands. Every single Venda bangle is handmade - a craft that's been passed down through generations. These culturally rich gifts can be worn in the shower, the pool and while you sleep. In fact… you never have to take them off. The longer buying you wear and get to know them, the more they shine.

All our bangles are handmade in the Limpopo region of South Africa (Venda) by local crafts men and woman. A % of our profits goes back to help develop the local community in the area in the area of job creation and local craft skills development.
