Ballpoint twist pen, "Skeleton Key" themed in swirling, glittery black & white acrylic and antique buying pewter hardware, my Item 103223
This unusual handmade pen is a "Skeleton Key" themed ballpoint.
This unusual, handmade pen is a "Skeleton Key" themed ballpoint which buying opens and closes with a twist of the nib. The cap is cast in an intricate design of scroll work forming keyholes like those in old, old doors which accepted what came to be known as a "skeleton key." The clip is cast in the form of the classic skeleton key and the nib has details seen in the old door plates. It's a very cool design. The pen, my item # 103223, uses standard Parker (or equivalent) ballpoint pen refills (ships with black ink. I recommend buying refills at www.woodcraft.com where a pack of 5 in black or blue ink is ~$6.99 + shipping). It has a body made of swirling and slightly glittery black and white acrylic for an almost smokey appearance. This is a very fun, almost spooky looking pen. It's a bit fatter than many pens and all its metal, with an antique pewter finish, gives it a very nice heft and substantial feel in one's hand. It's a conversation piece as well as a nice writing implement.
