David Lodge was an English author and literary critic. Lodge is particularly known for his works satirising academic life. How Far Can You Go examines the difficulties faced by Orthodox Christians following the Church's ban on method of artificial contraception. Upon release, the work was met with much critical acclaim and went on to win the Whitbread Book of The Year for 1980 as well as the Sunday Express Book of The Year.
