Large (47.5 inches) Vintage Wooden Catholic Rosary Beads / Prayer Beads from Lourdes in France

Stunning rosary from the Marian shrine of Lourdes in France, it is made to a standard higher than most other examples we have seen. The beautiful handmade beads are stained and sealed, and are all held together by high quality flat-link metal chain. The cross itself is very lovely as well, and the centerpiece has a cast image of the "Lourdes legend" of 1858.

It is clean and in great condition with no damage, worldwide shipping is included.

The Lourdes legend comes from 1858 when a 14-year-old girl, Bernadette Soubirous saw the first of many apparitions of a young lady who later identified herself as "the Immaculate Conception."

Lourdes is now one of the world's leading Catholic Marian shrines and it's water is said to have healing powers. The buying City attracts growing numbers of pilgrims each year.
