The striking form of this ring shows an interlaced dragon design. This is an original pattern from the 10th century, taken from a viking stone carving from the Isle of buying Man. The ring is made in two 'His and Her'sizes, large and small. Both rings are open-backed and can be adjusted to fit.
The large ring is 14mm at the widest point and will fit these sizes:
US: 16 - 9.5
European size: 38 - 21
The small ring is 12mm at the widest point and will fit these sizes:
US: 11.5 - 6
European size: 26 - 12
This ring has been designed and sculpted by artist Alban Depper, who is inspired by the rich wealth of myth and artistic tradition that has been left to us from the Viking Age. Each one is an original work but with origins that are far, far older. Once he has modelled the design in wax, the moulding and casting is undertaken by our partners, craftsmen who still practise the skills of the lost wax technique that was used by the Vikings. The casting is done in 925 sterling silver before being individually finished by hand. An antique patina is used to highlight the pattern. Each piece is marked with an A-rune the first letter of Alban's name.
