Stunning and beautiful antique print of a painting by Mrs Mia Arnesby Brown 1864-1931 ( nee Edwards) from a 1918 art publication. A very rare print.
Sarah Harriott Mia Arnesby Brown, nee Edwards, was born in 1864 in Monmouthshire Wales the second child and eldest daughter of the Reverend Charles Smallwood Edwards and his wife Mary Anne, nee Rich. She exhibited five pictures at the Royal Academy under her maiden name Edwards. She married the famous painter Sir John Alfred Arnesby Brown but was herself an accomplished artist, most especially so of children, and a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy. "Shirley Poppies" is one of her noted works but "Delphiniums" is equal if not nicer. She died at 5 Kings Road Chelsea in March 1931.
The print is supplied in a Soft White quality buying mount 10" inches x 12" inches ready to fit into a standard frame of the same size
