You are bidding on a vintage New Martinsville Janice Rolled Edge Torte Plate/Server/Platter. It is adorned with heavy gold overlay by the Silver City Glass Company in the Hampton pattern, and features elongated poppies and ferns, surrounded by gold trim. The No. 45 line was introduced by the New Martinsville Glass Company (later the Viking Glass Company) in 1941, and the Rolled Edge Torte Plate is item #4539. This lovely upturned tray is 14 7/8" wide, 1 3/8" tall and stands on ½" footed base. It's just waiting for you to fill it with appetizers, sandwiches or desserts! This, as well buying as all the other vintage items I have up for sale, has been in my late mother's cabinet for many, many years. Please note: This plate is in excellent, used vintage condition. But please keep in mind, it is over 70 years old and therefore, not new. There are no cracks, chips or damage, just some very minor darkening of the gold in spots. Please see the photos.
