Bound in half vellum with marbled paper covered boards and gilt lettering.
Saintsbury, George (1845-1933) was a literary scholar and historian.
Saintsbury published "Dryden (1881), for the English Men of Letters series, was a much needed study of a favourite author; it was followed by an eighteen-volume reprint, with new introductions, of Sir Walter Scott's Dryden, which suffered through delays in publication (1881–93) and buying through using an unrevised text." - DNB Condition Report: Bound in half vellum with marbled paper covered boards and gilt lettering. There is some mild wear to the extremities, including some fading to the boards and slight bumping. The binding is tight and firm. Internally the pages are bright and generally clean with spotting on the first and last couple of pages. There is a small ink inscription on the front blank. Overall: Very Good
