SEALED Cool Boston Pops LP, Vintage Vinyl Record Album Songs For Christmas, All Seasons. Holiday Songs Side 1, Movie Tunes Side 2. Fun!

This 1976 album has a unique concept. One side is Christmas, and the other is music for all year round. The year-round side is ultra cool. It features movie music of the era -- from "The Godfather" and "Romeo and Juliet," and "Midnight Cowboy." Plus you get Burt buying Bacharach classics -- "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head," "This Guy's In Love With You," and "Promises, Promises." See complete track list below.

The Christmas side is cool too. Arthur Fiedler, who popularized the idea of the pops concert, easily mixes classical, traditional Christmas numbers with more pop-type numbers like "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" (he throws a hint of Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" into that one). His performances of dances from "The Nutcracker" have grace and pizzazz. You get the "Hallelujah Chorus." The Christmas set ends with the always-elegant Leroy Anderson arrangements of carols including "Good King Wenceslas" and "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing." Symphony orchestras still use these arrangements. They are timeless.
