Vintage Joe Palooka buying Lunch Kit

This is a very early Joe Palooka lunch kit from 1948. It is based on Ham Fischer's famous comic strip.

The lid of the box pictures buying Joe Palooka Humphrey Penneysworth and Little Max. The sides have great color lithographs of Humphrey as Nero, Max running carrying exact same lunch box, Joe coaching basketball team and Humphrey going skiing with his Humphreymobile. This is an early character lunch box.

The “covered picnic box”is an early design with handles that fold up on each side and a lid that lifts off. It shows very few flaws. It has very good colors that are bright and few scratches. The interior is very good and clean. It has a dent on top of box as pictured and a few small rust spots on handles.
