Artisan View kiln fired stained glass buying often starts from clear recycled glass. Colorful glass powder is applied to create images of plants, animals or patterns. I employ glass ground fine as flour, there is no paint used. My work is gently fired in the kiln for 1-3 days, where it runs together like honey. The glass is reborn when the kiln is opened. What is revealed are irregular textures of unfading glass that can be built into panels. Finished pieces capture light and beautiful shades of everlasting color that transition with changing sunlight.
