Bubba Chic carriers are inspired by buying the ancient Chinese Mei Tai, but have been revamped with the comfort of the modern wearer (and baby) in mind. The wide shoulder straps distribute the weight of your baby or child evenly across the shoulder and back, drastically reducing the back and shoulder strain that can occur with frequent babywearing in less ergonomically structured carriers. The straps are soft and never "diggy" like narrow strap Mei Tais or some Soft Structured Carriers.
FABRICS:
The fabrics used to make the Bubba Chic Mei Tais are 100% natural so you can be sure your baby's skin is not coming into contact with synthetic materials or harsh chemicals.
Straps and inner layers are made from 100% Cotton Duck Canvas. (This has nothing to do with ducks – the term comes from the Dutch word doek, which means “linen canvas”.)
Only 100% cotton fabrics are used for the Decorative Panels, and we always favour Organic cottons when they are available.
DURABILITY & SAFETY:
All Bubba Chic carriers are stitched using top quality, robust Gutermann threads and and are sewn with small stitches for maximum hold and resistance.
The two inner layers of fabric (beneath the decorative panel fabric) are a hardy canvas and the straps are attached using double reinforced X Boxes (not the video game) as shown.
Durable and sturdy, you could carry a teenager safely in a Bubba Chic carrier if you were so inclined!!
