This collar could be the 19th Century era and it definitely is hand-done Irish crochet lace!

FABRIC: Cotton

COLOUR & PATTERN: A rich cream shade to this neck collar with a terrific pattern of Irish crochet lace incorporating Shamrock motifs as well as layers of rosettes with raised petals! Amazing details and very labour intensive for all the picots in this fabulous piece! There are three insets of rosettes - one at the bottom front of the collar and two on the lapels!

APPROXIMATE SIZE: Collar opening is 24 inches around! The lapels to go around the neck are two inches wide; the bottom of the collar measures 10 inches across; from the tip of the lapels to the bottom edge is 15 inches!


CONDITION: Very good to excellent condition without breaks in the lace or any stains!

Almost all the collars I list are antique and vintage, not new and not reproductions, and have been produced either by hand or machine in the 19th and 20th century.
