This is a mixed media illustration which represents a deer with pink roses. This mysterious image have came to me in a dream, while I was sleeping.
I believe that ours dreams are very symbolic and they guide us in our "real" life. When I woke up, I new that I have to draw the deer with graphite and I have to paint the background with gouache colours . In my dream, there were the green leafs and the pink roses above the animal.
The Eastern Traditions see Deer as the symbol of vitality, and longevity. Deer's antlers have been used in love potions, to attract new lovers, or make someone fall in love with you.
In the Celtic traditions the deer indicate abundance, renewal, fertility, and feminine energy.
Creating this illustration, I was inspired by nature, by Art Nouveau and the Pre-Raphaelites painters.
I love to mix the graphic, net, black and white drawing with soft and colorfull painting. The both technics are very important to me.
