Buying Turkmen Bridal Headdress Old Tribal Gaashbaagh Incomplete 8.5" x 15" (#11797)

Partial component of an old, beautiful, bridal headdress called a "gaashbaagh" from Turkmenistan. This is in original condition but is missing the side tassels called "tenechir" 15" x 8.5". There are three dark red glass settings that are original and intact. The metal has a nice patina and sheen. There are no ties, no fabric - this is something you could upcycle into another item altogether, or you could use as a main element in your own headdress creations. On both ends are two bails that you could attach ties. The metal fringe makes a nice buying sound with movement. The sound is used as a means to ward off the evil eye. Lovely, authentic, Turkmen headdress. The metal is a gray/tan/beige color with both patina and oxidation.
