buying A lot consisting of a vintage ceramic pitcher (jug) and a vintage W T Copeland teacup and saucer
The ceramic pitcher (jug) is approximately 6.625 inches tall to top of handle, has a base approximately 5 inches in diameter, and has a length of approximately 6.625 inches from back of handle to tip of spout. The base of the piece is unmarked, so the manufacturer and date of manufacture is unknown. The pitcher is glazed in earthtone colors and adorned with an upper and lower row of characters and scenes. This is an attractive jug that is in good condition, with exception that some of the hunting hound adornments on the bottom row have a firing crack and there are a couple of chip like manufacturing defects in the base.
The ceramic cup is a W. T. Copeland, Spode Works, Stoke, England (a 'Staffordshire potteries') piece c 1900 to 1950. Betty's notes indicate the piece is c1920, but I have not been able to confirm the exact date. The cup and saucer have scalloped edging. The cup has a base approximately 2 inches in diameter, is approximately 2 inches tall, and has a dimension of approximately 4.5 inches from back of handle to front edge of cup. The saucer is approximately 5.625 inches in diameter.
The plastic display stand is not included.
