These plastic and glass buttons were manufactured during the height of buttons becoming collectible.
Original New- old stock from Lansing Button Co and the Streamline Button co.
These buttons made of molded glass and also some of molded plastic. Self shanks and metal loop shanks. The collection includes glass diminutives- tiny buttons- in light baby blue sheen gloss. This set of 12 in original condition and plastic store wrap from RHODES Department Store of Seattle. A very large department store which started as a five and dime at turn of the eighteenth century and flourished into a Filenes type department store until mid century. There is a museum that tells/shows the longevity of the War soldier Rhodes brothers and their company. Fascinating! I expect this button card was being sold at Rhodes in May June 1943 from the label affixed to the transparent protective sleeve as shown in photos . These buttons measure 12mm or little smaller than 1/2” Made in USA
The highest quality buttons were manufactured in Holland Italy at that time.
