At the age of 22 Neal White was made a full Professor in the prestigious Photography Department of San Francisco State University, where he taught for 25 years. His works have been exhibited around the world and are in the permanent collections of many art museums including MOMA, the Smithsonian, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Art Institute buying of Chicago, the Norton Simon Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Royal Photographic Society, the Musee Francais de la Photographie, the International Museum of Photography at George Eastman House, and many others. He has received the Medal of Arles in France, along with such photographers as Brassai, J.H. Lartigue, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Jerry Uelsmann, Jack Welpott, Judy Dater and Ansel Adams.

This photo is in the collection of the Norton Simon Museum in Los Angeles and MOMA in New York City.
