Finger Ring Compact, Vintage Sterling Compact, Sterling buying Powder Compact, Dance Compact, Midcentury Compact with Finger Ring

This is a very beautiful vintage compact. It's marked sterling on the back and you can see that in the pictures.

This is called buying a finger ring compact and also a dance compact. I believe it dates to the 1920s or 1930s.

The compact itself has no design on the front or back. On the top I do see a slight dimple dent. The pictures do show it. The lid lays shut, but it doesn't snap shut.

Inside the well is empty of powder and the mirror is in very nice condition. I don't see any silvering on the mirror or any cracks. There is one little flake missing which is hard to see, but other than that the mirror is just great.

The back has some light surface scratches as does the front. A nice polish will help that.

The compact measures 2 inches In diameter.

The chain is not sterling. To me, I think it was plated and the plate is wearing off on some links. The link attaching to the compact could use some tightening. The chain is about 4.25 inches from bottom to ring top. The total length of the compact is about 6.25 inches.
